The internet war was interesting; I was shocked to know that the chain of events that lead to the WWW begin in 1957. The thing that I believe effected me the most was the idea of uniformity. I thought about the railroad and the struggles it faced before becoming standardized, and this same action applies to the internet wars. Without standardization we as a people would not have the convenience of only searching one browser and obtaining the necessary information. I am grateful that change has taken place because it helps us as a society to literally have the world at our fingertips
This man has such wonderful techniques, and the reading was very interesting. The principal that I could readily identify with was the one that dealt with peace and happiness. Life is too short to stress over the uncertain. I firmly believe that whatever an individual continuously think on, that thing will become an unconscious factor that begins to motivate the individual’s actions. That is why it is so important to meditate on “thoughts of peace, courage, health and hope”. “Count your blessings—not your troubles!” The previous phrase is number four under peace and happiness. Counting our blessings must be done on a daily basis. This world system is continuously flowing in an uncertain direction. However, there is one thing we as individuals can be certain of and that is “life” as long as we have our life we are bless. At times when I evaluate my situation and I usually conclude my negative thought (lemon) for a brief moment. Then I consider all other areas and realize the situation is not as crucial as I thought (lemonade). I have also noticed that when I commit myself to helping someone else whatever is going on with me is soon forgotten. However, when that project is finished my focus shifts back to my personal thoughts and anxieties.
That is why it is always good to be our neighbor’s keeper; this allows our heart to become involved. It is all about making a conscious effort to do the right thing “such as thinking the right thoughts”.

My favorite web site is Lord of Host the web address is (http://www.christ.com/Jesus/) in the first block of the page you will see Psalms 24:1-10. Across from that block is a picture the earth with stars surrounding it with and psalms 24:1 beneath the earth “the earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof;”. The next block has the bible verse of the day and across from that is a place for you to read prayer request, request for prayer, respond to prayer request, and next to that is a place to read praise reports or post a praise report. What I like about this site is the “search tools and study aids” that are linked to the site through, Bible Gateway is the web site that is linked through this site and it allows me to search the scriptures in different versions/translations of the bible and I can do scriptural word studies. What I dislike about this site is the amount of advertisements, the update on the economy, news, sports and politics. I watch CNN and my local news I don’t need to view the news on their web site. The web address is “Christ.com” not what’s happening in today’s world.

The MBTI Results were not a real surprise to me. As you were going along with the power point I would mark the personality that suited me as an individual. Interestingly my markings, matched the test results and it also helped me to understand me and a lot of my ways. My mom and I are the punctual individuals of the family and these results enlightened me to the whys of our behavior. For the longest my immediate family called me serge short for sergeant. I was reading up on the ISTJ profile and started to laugh because it stated that “Punctuality is a watchword…by whom others set their clocks is likely to be an ISTJ.” I have issues with individuals who arrive to work late and think nothing of that. I become stressed when I have to work under pressure. Usually when I undertake a task, it is thoroughly evaluated the pros and the cons, I have a set time to start with a projected finish. Life is a daily learning process and I am always discovering new things about me and the people I affect. I have always been a bottom line, focus type person. This was very insightful.

Hi Thomas I read about this blog priorto class today on the class cite, fireworks was interesting hopefully this is sufficient.

Internet explorer, AOL and google search are a few of the search engines I use. My favorite of the three is google I usually find what I am looking for faster. Today I was asked to search for commissioner that the Governor appointed in September and I could not find them searching the internet explorer the latest list of commissioners was in August 2007, but when I switched to Google I was able to pull up the new appointments for September 2009.

Overall I thought the presentation was good, and the thing that I am proud of is the fact that the music for each section stopped and started at the appropriate time. That was the hardest part of the presentation. I say that because each time I would set up the family music it would continue into the travel pictures. It helps to be able to read and comprehend what you are reading. After reading the instructions for the third or fourth time and scratching my head I finally realized what I was doing wrong. The thing that I would like to improve is when I am under pressure I usually don’t finish a task I rush to the finish line. When I was showing the hyperlinks and I jumped to the last slide, well I failed to show the slide that was between the hyperlink and before the last slide. I have to focus more on my task. Also, I did not use the pointer I used the mouse because I am most comfortable with the mouse. However, this class is all about coming out of our comfort zone and that is what I will do for my next presentation.

Dale Carnegie’s techniques are very interesting. Part three really grabbed my attention. One of my really good friends usually view things differently, and after reading his 12 points on winning people to my way of thinking my I do believe it is doable. January of thisyear I made the decided to listen more attentively, to this friend. There are times when there are valid points that he/she is bring out and others when I believe they are just rambling. However, eventhough I listen I am not very sympathetic, because I call “dumb” what it is “dumb”. I don’t know how this person will react when I show him/her sympathy for what is going on in this situation. My promise from this day forward I will be more sympathetic to some of not all the foolishness.

Spring Vacation
Today’s society is so busy it is important that family stay in touch. Every week, working around my husband’s calendar “because his job is seven days a week” we make a date Monday and Tuesday is not an option. However, any other day of the week at his specification we do something special to keep the sparks in our relationship.
If the home life is not good it will effect every other area of your life.

I maintain a calendar on my phone, for my personal activities, and with work I have a calendar on my desk. My job is routine and I manage to follow through usually at ease. I usually get to work a 1/2 hour early make coffee and plan out my day. In that plan there is at least 1 1/2 hour allowed for interruptions within the office and for phone calls. There have been a few times that I have taken a call that lasted for 1/2 hour, but whenever I get off my planned task I only stop and adjust the planner the next day.
